Hi Garry, there were a few early ones that had problems with that area of the drivers seat.
Only the face of the seats are real leather, the sides and back etc are vynil (leatherete) which might be the cause, as real leather may last a bit longer?

They won't change the whole seat mate, they,ll re-cover the bottom section of the seat, it shouldn't take very long.

As for the steering wheel mate, that ain't good at all is it, have you ever driven it with any chemicals on your hands?
Maybe there was a flaw in the finish, and everyday use has made it worse?

Anyway hope they sort it properly and quickly mate

I gotta say its a ******* joke Andy :x
They will replace a hole in the seat but not the trim on a steerin wheel  :x
I wish there was somebody to choke  but if Nissan say no what else do you do???
Anybody know??

It is a joke as you say Garry, it's a pickup truck all said and done, so should be designed to take a bit of stick.

Nissan want it both ways, whenever a customer pulls them on the paintwork, or other problems, the dealer will often say "well it's a commercial vehicle" so why don't they build them like a fu**ing commercial vehicle?

I also agree about the part leather seats mate, lots of companies do this nowdays, mind you it don't say in the brochure "part leather seats" though.

Regarding the steering wheel Garry, can they not just replace the dodgy bits for you?, i really think this should be covered by the warranty, if it ain't up to the job, they need to sort it

Might be worth speaking to Angie Mathews at head office mate, i can pm you the details if you want?

Are you sure you didn't have acetone on your hands? Those fingers look like they had a manicure Garry

Definitely speak yourself to Nissan UK as it is not acceptable. I've had the drivers seat replaced twice within 50k miles on our Murano and the second time the agent said that Nissan UK wouldn't do it again...I made them see sense and then the agent refused because Nissan paid for the parts but not the labour...So another 10 minutes later and they did it all...Go for it...

Sorry I used the seat of my wife's Murano as an example...Definitely speak yourself to Nissan UK as that is just not acceptable...The dashboard trim including steering wheel should outlast the car....

My steering wheel is peeling off around the cruise control buttons its a 57 plate and its only done 12k, i will be trying to get them to sort it when it goes in for the service. Nissan really should be taking this one on the chin and getting it sorted.
