Hello all! Just thought I'd introduce myself, Im a Nissan Master Tech and just found this forum today and thought it would be interesting to sign up and give you guys a hand with any tech problems!

Cheers

Welcome aboard :salute:

May as well be the 1st to throw a question at you  Will blanking the EGR valve on a tuned D40 reduce or stop black smoke issues

Also is there a way to up turbo boost from the solenoid (aftermarket plug in) etc to ensure fuel is burnt when increasing fuel with chips and maps?

:cheers2: :thumbright:

Are you getting a lot of black smoke on a std car or is it chipped?

Mine has been remapped (euro 3) had a chip before and it smoked only when the weather was hot, in the winter it was fine. Got a remap and they tuned it only to 191 BHP at the wheels, 200 BHP caused too much smoke again. Still smokes a tad in the heat, but not like the chip.

06 D40 with 54K on the clock, manual.

I would'nt worry to much about the smoke as it been tweaked. When its cold the air is denser so more will be going in to the engine hence less smoke when cold. It may be worth checking the air flow meter tho as they can give problems.

Cleaned the MAS to no avail, trying the EGR block next as i have heard Nissan do this on the Pathfinder  The smoke is a worry when chipped as when i say smoke i mean inspecter gadget smoke screen, not a small plume  hense needing a way to up the boost on the turbo, not sure why its just a few euro 3's that suffer and none of the 4's

I see . Well there is no way of lifting boost with oem softwear and solenoid - What about a boost controler? Has anyone tried one?

Just out of interest are you representing an 'official' capacity or off duty?? Just curious that's all.
Really good to have you on board either way, welcome to the forum.
