hi all im new to the site and navaras and i have just acquired myself an 03 D22 double cab cyprus import with only 1 owner (local farmer),ive only had it 23 days and done around 45 mile and its broke down after i give it a good jet wash just seeing as it was from a farm went to town 7 mile away no problem but on the way hone after about 2 mile it stopped revving over 1000 rpm and started chugging so limped it to a lay by and turned it off ,now wont start i have but £30 diesel in it just in case it was a faulty gauge but its said half a tank, ive checked fuel filter its clean inside (looks new) so re filled and refitted it i have hand primed the system but still wont start.
i have read on here slight air in system could cause the starting issue but have noticed when i prime fuel filter plunger goes hard and as soon as i try and start it its gone soft again is this normal as im thinking ive disturbed a fuel line under body when i was jet washing years of muck from under neath
there are no warning lights on on the dash and my obd reader will not connect to the vehicle so guessing its only fuel related
