hey guy just got my led fog lights from a china source, i went to fit them into my navara 2009 d40 and when i clipped in the power source they would'nt turn on ,
my question is on my old spots in the picture which connection is + & - ,
maybe the led ones are reversed?
as i connected and battery with 2 wires to power the led in my hand and they power up

That's probably it, LED's are polar sensitive and will only work connected one way.

Try getting two bits of wire to bridge a connection from the original connector on the truck to the new light with it reversed to see if that works.

If it does then just cut the wires before the plug, swap them over and rejoin.

:+1 with Hamlet.
Led`s are supposed to be wired one way.
Have a separate piece of wire and try each one in turn with the other to earth.
Paul.

I recently fitted after market led fog lights with built in DRL, initially the fogs would not work. On closer investigation the scocket on the kit that looked like a good match with the original connector was not actually making contact when plugged in. So double check power is actually getting to the light.

switched around the wires on the navara socket and hey presto we have power , so the china fog lights were wired in reverse to the navara, took a quick pic of it , will clean up the wiring and tape off tomorrow. navara wires were purple and black
