Hello every one.
I replaced the timing chain on my d40. And I seems to have a problem with the tensioners.
After installation I started the car. Sounded good on idle. After a few minits I did a small rev to 2000rpm and all hell broke loos. Sounded really bad. I turned it of. And now I can't line up any of the marks.
How do I reset the timing? It's very tempting to just set it on tdc, pull the chains and line everthing up and put it back together. But it can't be that easy can it?
Do I have to pull the head to find any bent valves or is it possible to do it from the top?
