Hi,

I drive a D22, 54 plate with 52k on the clock. I'm the second owner and purchased the truck with 24k on the clock.

I got the truck because my great passion is eagle falconry, hunting golden eagles. I needed a vehicle which would get me anywhere and take the eagle boxes in the back along with dogs. Shortly after I got the truck I fitted General Grabber AT2s and have been very happy - it suits my needs. A few gamekeepers I know started to report engines blowing-up which has been a cause for concern. Internet searching led me here and I have been reading for a few days. Suffice to say I have ordered the D22 'kit' from Billcar and will be getting the mods done next week.

I'm not mechnically minded so will probably ask seemingly inane questions from time-to-time. I could do without spending the money on the engine mods but intend to keep the truck for a good few years - it doesn't seem unreasonable to me to expect a vehicle like this to do 150k easily, so sorting the bottom-end should go a long way towards this.

I have been impressed with the wealth of knowledge and wilingness to share on this Forum.

Good wishes to all.

What bird do you use for "hunting golden eagles"? ...Vulture

Welcome one and all.

Good idea to fix potential problem, peace of mind is always valuable.

Have you got one that hunts badgers??

Hi and welcome mate, seen some Falcons in action, awesome!

Once you do the engine mod, you'll have yourself a very reliable truck, let us know how it all goes

hi mate, great forum to join, into the hunting stuff myself mainly with dogs, ferrets, and shooting same reason i bought my d22. know what you mean about the engine prob  only found out there was a problem via this forum.all the best

Welcome to the forum mate. I am also into my hunting/shooting etc although I don't get to do as much nowadays
Do you take your birds to the CLA gamefair, if so, I'll keep an eye out for you?

Welcome Rachel too :thumbright:

Hello Shooter,

no my Golden eagles are purely hunting, not demonstration birds. I enjoy the Fair for catching-up with people I rarely see, but the eagles stay at home.
