Been lurking on here for a while but thought I would post my experience of acquiring a new D40 Tekna Auto Connect in Black.

Decided to give Autoebid a try. The target price they quoted was £4,500 less than the list price and a bid came in within £100 of that. The dealer that bid stated 6 week delivery. Went ahead and dealer contacted me 2 days later but by the time they did that vehicle wasnt available which left me feeling as though the whole thing was a con.

Anyway the dealer said they would keep trying for me and after 5 days came back and said they had found one an exact match in the nissan system that would be ready in 3 weeks. 2 weeks later got a call to say it was at the dealers and a week later took delivery.

Extremely pleased. Paid £18,900 excl VAT and beat the Nissan price increase too with the whole process only taking 3 weeks. With all the delays people are experiencing on here I feel very fortunate and first impressions are excellent. Off to get an Alpha Hardtop and load liner fitted today (why cant Nissan include a load liner......thats just penny pinching).

Yep I placed my order on the 15th February using these guys... Mine is £500 cheaper than yours but i've got to wait until the 9th of May!!. Is yours pre reg or 1st keeper ??? Just wondering if one of the bidders on mine were the same dealer..

Its 1st keeper and it is a main dealer in the Midlands.

I paid over £30k for mine and that’s with a nearly 5k discount, I feel like I should have pushed more for additional discount??

I hope that's including VAT Paul, and yours is the V6. When i bought my Tekna the salesman was telling me (he's a mate), that they're allowed to give 'up-to' a certain % of the total price in discount and he gave me as much as he could, which was about £1200 i think (Tekna, not V6). Don't know if that's the Nissan policy, or just my local place...... :?:

yeah that is including VAT, I got a £3.5k discount off of the basic price an extra £1k because I opened a fleet account and an additional £500 of the standard sales price as I was going to pay for the truck with cash rather than finance
