Hi, I have an 07 D40 Aventura. On a couple of occasions I have pulled out and put my foot down, revs drop to 2000 and I have to pull over and switch off. Start it back up and it takes 3 or so times of starting, hunting and stalling before it starts up and then it's fine... Doesn't do it when on M way or towing, just every now and again when I put power down in first. Tiny bit annoying. Will hook it up to the diagnostic kit when I have a sec but wondering if anyone has this specific issue...

The chances are you are suffering from a failing SCV . Before you go splashing out on one there are a couple of low cost things you can do that may also fix the problem.

Try a new genuine or good quality fuel filter.

Clean your MAF viewtopic.php?f=47&t=12607

Reset the ECU reading any fault codes viewtopic.php?f=47&t=5786

Consider cleaning and blanking the EGR valve if not already done.

If none of these work then fit a new SCV viewtopic.php?f=47&t=39882
