Hi guys

I have pretty much decided on the spec (Aventura) of Navara that I want to go for and fancy black or grey colours but I am unsure whether to go auto or manual. I will only use it for towing occasionally and will do mostly motorway miles.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I agree everyone is different . I bought auto to start with
Then I bought the manual I've got now.
For me I prefere the manual. I feel I have more
Control over the truck stopping and using gears to slow down.
Mpg is defently better. I've never done any proper off road stuff.
But I'm sure a auto wouldn't be better at that stuff either.?

I prefer auto myself.

Though if you go on Pathfinder Club of Australia you can find links to gearbox gurus in Aus that can modify the autobox and torque convertor to make the gearbox a better match for the Diesel engine.

I think perhaps it is because I have a Pathy that I like auto, big 4x4 and manual box spells farmer.

Never be able to sell it to a yummy mummy when the time comes with a manual, lol.

Auto all the way. Dont see the point in a manual unless you want to race about in it and then the Nav is not best know as a racer. Especially not when you have a trailer full of pigs anyway. :pork: You just click and go. One less thing to worry about when driving around strange streets or areas. Not flicking gears in jams. Also easier to eat a big mac in an auto as you only need one hand. :awesomework
