hi guys
i am new to this forum
and new to navara's
had nissans before
and i would say never really had a problem with nissans or toyotas i have had before
just bought a nissan navara built in thailand
it is a double cab 4x2 not four wheel drive but seems ok only done 100 km in it
so its early days
it has a d40 engine 6 speed box ives about 126kw 144 bhp
decent stereo only has 205 x16 wheels so its not high but not low either

paid 13.000 gbp for it brand new 678.000 thai baht cancelled order
did have some reservations about buying it as read some horror stories on here and other forums
but bought it i have
i am hoping fuel consumption is about 9litres per 100km
but the fact that its built in thailand at mitsubishi factory think i wont have same problems as the japanese and spanish built ones seem to have had
engine and transmission and axle probems
but any feed back is helpful

yes thanks guys
i think the same as this
i read that the european ones are built in the navara regoin of spain
but not sure if parts are manufactered locally or imported from the land of the rising sun
what extras or accesories do you get as standard on spanish built navara

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I'm assuming that a lot of the trucks made in Thailand are made at the same factory the Ford, Mitsi, Toyota and Mazda are made which i think is run by Soni Motors http://www.sonimotorsthailand.com/

they hve been made in a factory in sourthern thailand for a while now
but towards the end of last year production moved to the mitsubishi factory at nothanburi
and as far as im aware only the navara and the triton are built there on same track navaras in the morning and tritons in the after noon or so im told
the toyota ford and any other models are built/assembled at seperate locations
except for isuzu and chevy built in same factory in japan
about trim and equipment this is what it has
metallic paint alloys 225/70/16 tyres cd/dvd player hard wearing velour seats adjustable suspention
electric windows heated rear window ? not sure why
air con dont need heaters over here believe me ave temp 25/35 all year
six speed box and 126 kw engine which equals 144 bhp i believe
as far as i am aware no car built in thailand have had a heater for twenty years
whats the point havin summat that you would never use
trip computer four doors no fog light halogen headlight long range driving lights
privacy glass all around 60% side and back all windows and 40% on front windscreen
side runners wind deflectors
never happen uk or oz or usa i dont think
and about cost
this model is the navara st model
and the cost 650.000 thai baht
uk 13,265 usa 18,271 aus 16,119
dont it make you sick
so if you plan to buy a new try get it imported from thailand
should be easy enough to get fog lights and heater fitted
not sure about certificate of conformity
i'll post some pictures in due course
