Hi everyone -this is a great forum :cheers2: - excellent for me to do my research before (hopefully) buying a D40.

Went to see one yesterday..... drove really well..

only issue was there was a squeak pretty much continually - I thought initially it might be the snug on the back but the guy said it could be the rubbers under the bonnet as they might not be sitting flush (common fault?) any thoughts greatly appreciated

Also I need to be able to put either 2 mountain bikes (usually one) and a kayak on the top. Can I do that on the top of the double cab using the rails? Cant use the snug due to the dog....... Issue?

I'm sure I'll have loads more questions.

Thanks in advance

The squeak could certainly be the rubber bonnet stops, it is a well known problem. The other thing it may be, if it sounds more from the rear, is prop shaft joints, another fairly common problem but cheap to fix.

Hiya & welcome to the site marchy, hope you find the truck of your dreams.

So the bike and kayak should be ok - just!

Do I need to buy thule extras?

Sorry for being so dumb regards this?
Thule do attachments for bikes that will fit to the Navara roof bars, quite a few on here use them
