Just to add

Just to add that im going to be using the Tekna for the school run, going to work (90 miles a day) and towing a twin axle caravan.
I hope that I qualify for my 2-off post so that I can get busy asking daft questions such as do I need the diff lock :)

Regards,

Warren.

Hi Warren and welcome to NNNet

You'll see I've merged both your threads into one, this keeps the forum tidy. The two post rule has now been met.

What sort of age Tekna are you thinking of? A new one? I've got a 2016 Tekna, and love it. Sure, there are little niggles, but nothing that would put me off buying it again.

Have a look at the Thinking of buying section, you'll find some useful info there. And if it doesn't answer your questions, then just ask.

Hi Warren, :welcome

You'll find the new Navara ideal for your needs and if you're towing on muddy fields the diff lock option will be well worth the investment.

I'd disagree. Diff locks are useful when one wheel will leave the ground on rough terrain. Everywhere else there's traction control, which in the Nav is excellently-tuned for off road work.

If you use a diff lock while moving a van you'll really struggle to turn it.

(Introduced not as a new front on this oft-debated topic, but to possibly save some $ for a new buyer.)
