My wife has been having regular visits to a physio of late. The only prob is that there's none in our town so we have to head to a town 100kms away. As she works at a mine 45kms out of town we take a back road that is mostly dirt to the physio. A couple of weeks ago we had a lot of rain. We were told the road was a bit wet in places when there was only enough time to take dirt road (as opposed to going back home and the long way round).
Well, other than a few mudholes and puddles we didn't encounter anything too bad until we came across a 2km stretch that was completely flooded. My wife's colleagues had said it was passable in their, ahem, Toyota Prados, so if we stuck to the middle we'd be fine. The Nav handled water more than a foot deep well although we did plough through initially so the roof got a drenching at times. Rather than change gear in the water I waited for a short 'island' in the road to change down to second so we didn't get too carried away. Very cool and although the phone pics don't show it too well, she was totally filthy.
When my wife told her colleagues we'd be fine as we had 4WD they asked what it was and scoffed at the mention of the Nissan. Toyota people really do have issues.
