I regulary tow around 2 - 2.5 tonnes and was wondering how the Navara would fair up to this. Would I be able to feel it on the back or would it pull it effortlessly? Also what sort of MPG would I be expecting to get with an auto towing a box trailer only 6.5 feet tall.

Best towing vehicle I have ever had.

I regularly tow heavy weights and find the Nav the most stable tow vehicle I have ever used, recently I did a 300+ mile round trip with a horsebox on the back and got 20mpg (07 Euro4 manual).

I have a 3.5 MGW trailer I have used for loads of stone sand, my mini digger and a 2+tonne LR Discovery as well as other cars. The Nav is well up for it, my only reservation is the clutch gets a hard time pulling away although this wouldn't worry you if you got an auto. .

I tow a ifor with 2 16.2's in, no problem & thats up 'n' down the yorky hills, brill towing vehicle.

(oh & lookskyward, i'm a total brut girl, love the stuff, especially when its mixed with a bit of body sweat, hmmm)
