hey there I recently bought a d22 rally raid in black with 48 thousand on clock. I was wondering if it to suffers from the conerod prob ive read about??

how old?, check the engine number

If it`s a d22 facelift the conrod is liable to say hello through the side of the block eventually, regardless of age or serial no. :tongue:

I`ve heard of late reg 06 d22`s going pop ukel:

Its the engine thats got the problem no matter when it was fitted the got the YD engine then it will no pop one day without the mods, just the "new" d22 that got a detutned d40 engine that dont have the problem

It is a D22 with YD25 DDTi engine, these are the ones that have a tendency to go. There is no certainty to it but it is advisable to do the engine mods listed on this site.
