Which D40 have you decided to get? Have you read through the 'thinking of buying' thread?

The main areas of concern would be premature chassis corrosion, lower timing chain stretching/snapping and potentially clutch wear and replacement in earlier models. All of these should be addressed and remedied soonest.


What happened to your D22 to make you decide on a D40 and what do you intend to use her for?

Post some pictures if you do manage to take ownership on Friday!


P.S. I got married on the Isle of Wight - and spent our honeymoon in Ventor. Love the place.

And sold my d22 in November and brought golf R32 and have missed my pick up ever since
Its a 57 plate aventura in grey
My old d22 is still on the forum banner [emoji16]
I just use it to commute to work and tow now and again or take my trials bike out
Yeah have read the things to look for
