So would it be a big problem to change the old built in sat nav in my 2007 aventura to one from a 2012 model.I guess the whole dash would have to be changed or could you just pop out the old screen and centre console and fit the newer one in just a thought i had because i like the style of the new one and it doesnt have that silly middle button that my kids love so much to snap off :lol: Cheers Matt

I would guess that the switching and wiring would be totally different in both cars to allow you to swap over the centre console etc.

yea i was thinking there would be alot of hassle behind it alright.Sure i dont know how many times i had to super glue that wee button back on ha ha ha.

Being an OM accessories I believe that the navigation system communicates with other ECU's from the car, maybe also the commands from the steering wheel, different information about the status of the car (poor coolant level etc.) that are received from other ECU and so on. But, maybe if you do it, and succeed, then others will find it usefull and do it also.
