I currently own a Discovery 2, but I suspect its about to be written off by insurance company once they assess it...

So I'm back where I was 9 months ago deciding which 4x4 to get and a Navara is back on the cards again.

The nice insurance company has given me a courtesy Pathfinder for the last month and I really like it, its a 60 plate 190. My question is if I buy an older Navara with the 170'ish engine am I going to really notice the power/torque drop and regret not getting the newer Navara, or is there not much noticeable difference. I won't be towing, just filling the back up with work stuff.

Thanks - Andrew

I've had both. 190 is a nicer engine to drive. Handles better too. Generally nicer truck, actually. Some people don't like the noise, but that's what the radio is for. :)

Another for the 190. More toys, and that sod awful noise, like a blowing exhaust, you get used to !!

And as Abyss said, better mpg. Averaged around 30 ish in my 170, getting just short of 37 in this 190. That said, just put my DTE back in after getting it reset for the 190 (Brilliant service by the way from Abyss :cheers2: ) so I expect it to drop over the next couple of weeks. Not because of the system, but once you fit one you gotta give it a bit of wellie for a while. Once I get that out of my system, things will be back to the high 30's again.
