Hello i have a 2008 navara its got no keylocks on the door except the passanger side under the plastic its the model with the chrome mirrors and puddle lights. i tried just pulling the door handle when i walk up to it but nothing

You are supposed to unlock it first mate with the key fob.......

It's the same as mine. The key lock on the near side is there if you can't access the truck with your fob.....

oh right lol so its not like my astra vxr that was keyless and i could just walk up to it and open the doors but when the say keyless entry they mean pressing the button ? lol

The Aventura pathfinder has keyless. You have a button on the door handle and nowhere to put the key in te ignition just a knob to turn.

It's keyless with the fob, just hit the open button and away you go........ :happy0071

Yeah the wife's pathy is keyless. Foot on brake, turn ignition and off you go. I love that part of her motor

lol no no my astra had keyless entry and when i looked in the navara handbook it said it also so i thought is it like my astra but no!! lol why can it not just say remote entry

It is keyless to open it mate, just not to start it, well not keyless as there is one in the passenger door but keyless to open the door, god I am confused now...........

I agree them saying keyless is a bit of a con! It's no different to anyother car with remote central locking.

Ah but Spoons other cars have key holes the Nav dont other than the said one that's covered so it could be classsed as keyless.......

keyless to me is no keys to open the door but with the navara you have to get the keys out and press the button

Vehicles will only truly become keyless when they do away with keys & there will be something like a microchip in your pocket or something. Even though the new Nav has a covered keyhole, it still has a key. Keyless entry is just to inform you that you can acess your truck without using the key, thus using only the button, even mine has that & it was last owned by Jesus :thumbright:
