Has anyone been in contact with Nissan GB about this problem ?chassmash said:Just thought a I would save my fellow Nav owners the the nightmare news I have just been advised that my 06 navara Aventura is now a right off as my chassis has cracked both sides due to corrosion. So be warned get that tub off and get protecting .
Yes the 07's are showing, it does seem to be as the model ages so do the list of victims. At least as a buyer you'll get a good chance to inspect potential purchases and deal with them as you find them.nick_d40 said:Do we know the model year of the latest navara truck that's been reported with chassis problems ? Seen a lot of 2005 2006 years with the problem, just wondered if any 07 onwards had been reported , Or is it just a matter of time due to age that these go down ?
unlucky, but if anyone can make a decent job of fixing it.......Hamlet said:Not entirely unexpected as I'm noticed a faint line a while back, hoping it's not too bad but like everything I won't know till I take the tub off.
I'm in Norwich for a few days so hopefully make a start on it when I get back, and take a few pics as I go.
If it's a safety recall, anyone can go and get their truck done FOC regardless of the ownership.freemansteve said:Once a new vehicle has been sold, Nissan obviously walks away, despite many faults and manufacturing defects being generic.

Yes - joint development, but Mercedes have previously said they will use their own engines, which has to be an improvement.Propshaft said:If it's a safety recall, anyone can go and get their truck done FOC regardless of the ownership.freemansteve said:Once a new vehicle has been sold, Nissan obviously walks away, despite many faults and manufacturing defects being generic.
