The misses has been off work for two days due to the weather, But today made the effort to go in as we managed to get her car off the drive etc....

She gets to work fine.....BUT then i get a phone call from her!

The snow on the car park where she works hasnt been touched so its about 1 foot deep!!

She and 5 other cars are stuck and cant move!

SO of i goes with the nav to see if i can help out......but the time i got there there was also a 7.5 tonne truck now stuck also.....

I looked at the snow on the car park and thought NO WAY!! but ill give it a go!

Hooked up the misses car first....switched to 4WD LOW and pulled it through the 1 foot deep snow with ease to safty...so i carried on and did the same with the other 5 cars...

Now on to the 7.5 tonner...hooked it up and tryed....no luck at first...as the 22s started to spin, due to the depth of the snow....but then after a few sharp jolts we started to move and get momentum! and got that sucker out of there!!!

THE NAV RULES!!!!!! :clappy: :cheers2: :partycheer:

Andy you will have to stop pulling cars out thats Robs Job :D
there are usually enough Mercs and BMWs to go round!
Did about 15 on the last day of term Dec 18th, quiet at moment though, think people are a bit better prepared here now

I think South Northants council have been better at the gritting game this year. :thumbright: Pop over to North Oxfordshire if you want some fun no grit on main roads. Went to Middle Barton today to sort out Mum with supplies etc and snow nice and deep on the roads

Its not brilliant :? , but the nav doesnt bat an eyelide once its in 4 wheel drive. (Spose it would be pretty damn clever if it did  )

Blimey -10oC, that aint nice.

Yer your probs right about it being worse today with it being all frozen over now.

I have a new set of Wranglers in the garage waiting to go on, its just i havnt got round to it. I should get it done asap tho as nissan said on the service that the two rears had 1mm tread left. Opps

Excellent!! Seems to have know problems.

I was using a Discovery td5 yesterday in the snow and was impressed, but been using my nav today ( with tyres that desperatly need replacing) and it feels much better than the disco did, doesnt slip in the corners at all and the roads are the same today as they were yesterday.

Cheers

Luckly i changed my rear tyres a few months back....Id say the roads are worse today due to the big freeze last night......Temp display in the nav was showing -10oC when i was going over the Thelwall Viaduct on the M6 at 9.30 this morning!
