Anyone else fitted the DTE box to their V6??

Sent my box to Andy at DTE and got it back with the new Loom.

What a right PITA they are to fit. If i had know how awkward they are to fit i wouldnt have bothered.

You have to plug it into the common rail in the middle of the "V" of the engine. Getting to the plug is harder than open heart surgery. Removing pipes, cables and metal brackets still leaves very or no access to a tight fitting plug.

Access to the boost controller plug is also very awkward and requires the front grille to be removed, long arms and lots of swearing!

Anyway, after an hour and half of saw knuckles and lots of swearing it was fitted.

Since fitting i've tried maps 1 and 2. Both obviously improve power and torque.

My problems so far are:-

1) Worse injector rattle to the point where it sounds like i have washers instead of oil in the engine.
2) When a speed is set on the cruise control, the speed is adjusted all the time by accelerating and decelerating again and again like the engine is hunting.
3) bad misfire and hesitance at higher RPM
4) Initial throttle response seems to loose boost rather than gain it, then a noticeable turbo noise kicks in when the throttle is pressed further.

I havent had chance to speak to Andy at DTE yet but i am concerned that if the truck goes into limp mode, there is no user ECU reset like there is for the 4 pot engines and i'm left having to go back to main stealer to get reset, after i have had the arduous task of removing the box!

Anyone else had issues like this on the V6. If the installation was easier i'd try it on the other truck!

I only fitted the box after 15k miles so its been run in a little bit.
