Hello,

I know they are a few forums around this but not much on which camera to get.

I found this on eBay, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231390415722?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
I understand in order to mod the unit in a navara adventura I need a NTSC camera, this one states;

*Signal System: NTSC
Effective pixels: PAL:782*668 pixels, ntsc:760*642

I assume its the right one, but worried about the PAL bit.

I want this camera to took under the tailgate handle on the left, much like the 2010> nav, if you can recommend a better choice, be grateful.

Hi Martin

Mine is a 2008 Aventura with the built in screen, I followed these instructions,

http://www.nissan-navara.net/42-int...a.net/42-interior-mods/32051-wanting-info-satnav-dvd-tv-reverse-camera-etc.html

And I got the extension video/phono leads from Maplins as you'll find that by the time you run the cable along the chassis you'll need to extend as the one supplied is too short to reach. The only soldering was in the sat nav/DVD under the drivers seat I don't know if yours has the same unit but if so it's an easy job, the hardest thing was taking apart the DVD casing.

The seller must have changed the details as the one I bought was Pal and NTSC compatible but was the same numberplate and price so just make sure you buy the correct one for your system.

The earth and feed live just fed through the multi plug in the screen and when you push in the plug it makes contact with the pins job done.

hope this helps

Gavin
