no mate ..now that would be silly ....have you rich?
btw..you buying that sat nav?

Its happened to me a few time opened the door and the alarm has gone off thought i was going nuts, if i press the lock button more than once it does stay locked so god knows whats happening

Mine's is playing up quite badly at the moment too.

Sometimes locks properly first time, other times it can take 10 attempts to get it to lock. Hopefully the dealer will not make me take it over, have it for a day to diagnose, give it back, book it in, take it over again to have work done, find that they've ordered the wrong part, repeat process......

The same happened to me, This is a known fault and they have to replace the Body Control Module, mine was done 3 weeks ago. Tell your dealer to phone Evans Halsaw in Aberdeen and they will fill them in on the problem.
There is a great blurb about this on another post

had this happen to me when i was in le-mans. thought pushing it twice dead locked it but obviously not. sometimes the drivers door would lock and sometimes it wouldnt. went in when i got back and they changed some central locking stuff and some of the components in the lock on the drivers door. seems fine now tho.

i had a problem with mine, push remote once but drivers door still unlocked, what i did was to lock the truck and then unlock it, letting the truck lock itself automatically, this way the drivers door was locked.
since i did this for a few days all is fine now and drivers door locks as it should with one press of the remote... :D

my 07 has intermittent problem whereby drivers door is not openable from inside (child lock!!) usually lasts a few days and fixes itself, still under warranty so looks like a trip to the good people of Crosby Nissan............unless someone knows what I'm doing wrong??
Cheers
Col

seems a common issue, my pathy has drivers lock issues ^ intermittant not openable from drivers inside, intermittent unopenable from anywhere except the tailgate lock when outside. a trip to the dealer soon for warranty work

Hi
My 06 D40 driver's door has unreliable locking too. I think I've sussed out why- the lock mechanism is "bouncing" back from the locked position possibly due to a weak spring or similar - you can see it happen if you look into the lock mechanism with the door open and operate the central locking; you will see the top of a shaft with a slot rotate from vertical to horizontal (locked). Occasionally this shaft rotates back from horizontal a bit. If I turn the shaft by inserting a screw driver (or the end of the key) back to horizontal then close the door, the door stays reliably locked. NB don't operate the central locking again until your ready to get in or you have to go through the procedure again.

A new solonoid would fix it but that's a lot more than 2 seconds and a key !

Took mines into nobles Nissan and got the bcm replaced under guarantee but was speaking to the foreman who told me it is a common issue that Nissan haven't made a recall but said if people make a little song and dance about it 9 times out of ten it will get replaced under warranty

My mate had similar problem with his 05 aventura, driver door would lock from the button inside the car but from the remote you could still open it from outside, his mechanic said needs a new lock, got that and fitted it, still same so went to nissan and they quoted him 1100 euro for a new bcm, so we said we would get one from a breakers and sort it, nissan said it will have to be coded or car wont start and second hand ones cant be re coded, they were right on the not starting so i did a little bit of my electronics magic and coded it myself, we got the used bcm for 50euro coz the breakers yard knew they cant be re used, so the moral of the story is YOU CAN RE CODE USED BCM MODULES NO MATTER WHAT NISSAN TELL YOU, i have done three navara ones since and two primastar.
