I am expecting my new brown np300 double cab tekna auto in about a week.

In the meantime i read a lot about this truck. Mainly on this forum and internet reviews. Most reviews are rather positive. Not so on this forum. All I read about is complaints, complaints and more complaints.

That made me wondering...

There must be some things you like. Otherwise you wouldn't have bought it.

So,... Why not delicate a topic to what you like about the np300

Maybe after reading that I will look forward to collecting mine instead of cancelling my order.

I'm, 63 years old and have driven all sorts of cars, vans jeeps and pickups. The D40 Navara's is good, the new one is better, I tow trailers, caravans and my D22 on a trailer with the np300! Do not be put off by comments about "bling", the mechanics and engine are what matters to us who use them for our living. P.s. I do like the " bling" to play with,!

You won't regret the np300 mate. I don't, and I am so fussy and pedantic it's unreal.

It really is a lovely place to be, very, very comfortable, wonderfully refined for long journeys. Cruise control works well, radio is good, sat nav good. Looks fabulous and gets lots of comments out and about.

I mean, it could have been better, even with a tiny bit of thought, but hey, for the price, I'm not sure you can get a better all rounder.

I've had Ranger Thunders & Limiteds before & previous to that Vauxhall Fronteras as company vehicles, all I thought were very good but my new NP300 Tekna Auto takes it into the Champions League in my view, I've never had a Nissan before or an automatic & am extremely impressed with it.
I chose it because it looks the part, has surround cameras, sunroof, very good ride, quite fuel efficient, better to drive than when test driving new Ranger.
The only thing I'm disappointed in in not having my extras that I ordered available such as rear canopy & front & rear styling bars.
I did go for the Savannah yellow & glad I did love it.

As already said you wont be disappointed, it is better on fuel, quieter and seems more get up and go, due to twin Turbo
There is things missing that i liked, the rear seat was better on last one but this one is more comfortable

We love our Savannah Yellow Tekna Auto too. Had ours for 4 weeks now and are really enjoying it. It's great to drive. Came from a 14 ranger and it's way more comfortable to drive, smoother, quieter, better fuel economy, handles better. Cruise control is very smooth too.

With the delay on the Nissan hardtop I cancelled it and went for the Aeroklass version which I should get fitted in a week or so. A lot cheaper and he photos of it look very smart. Went for the Nissan liner as part of the protection pack and it's a good priced package and as fitted last week and looks great.

Took me a while to get the iPhone connected up but now working fine with the purchase of a new USB lead.

The ride, it was confirmed today. I live near a school and there are some wide and high speed bumps (rightly so). In the D40 when I was the only rider no problem, with passengers in the back they felt the pain when the back flicked up, I've had audiable grunts and groans from behind when going over these whilst being sensible. Today I was following a Honda Accord over the bumps he was far enough in front so I could have slowed if need be, he was driving at normal pace and didn't slow and I could see how the car rode the bump so I though (with rear passengers) lets try it, no groans and no rear flick when the back wheels climbed the bump.

Oh and the DRL/LED head light combination, I've become a nicer driver just so I can flash more people out of junctions :)

I've been a voice of a few negatives - mainly my outside temp gauge and the auto windscreen wipers, oh, and the rear seat/strage but loads of good stuff.....
Stereo is good and loud - I'm not a woofers and tweeters man, but have been known to crank up Florence or Faithless on a few long journeys and can only get it to just over halfway before my age turns it down.
Interface with iPhone / iPod music using the aux is good
Bluetooth phone is crystal clear and doesn't sound like a toilet bowl
Cameras of course
Steering very light for a truck and cameras make it easy to supermarket car park
CC good....after the recall!
Torque is great and pulls through the gears
Suspension far better on B roads than my px X5 Msport
Keyless entry - wouldn't be without it now but I do lose my keys more often...in bag, coat, jeans, you just forget where you put them as you don't need
MPG - a lot of motorway miles at 75-85 and bullet proof 30 miles. Keep it below 65 and 35mpg
Colour - mines blue and really has got some great tones in the sun
Commercial - business picks up the tab so tax deductible, whats not to like

So you see, lots to like (which makes the negatives so annoying!!!) and sure you'll find your own good and bad points, when you do, please share.

Ride comfort in another league compared to the new ford ranger and l200 I also test drove. Quiet also compared to the ranger which sounded like a tractor!

Interior very nice place to be. Phone Integration is good.

Kids love it and the colour, SAV yellow.

Mines an auto which is better than my last E class merc! Very smooth and keeps you always in the power band.

Getting good mpg, 35 plus at 75mph fully laden on the mway.

Wife likes it!

For me, this car is the first I ordered with my heart. former cars I bought with my wallet. I don,t like fancy blingbling cars like audi's, Mercs and BMW's, american trucks just don't belong here cause of their size. They are cool in another world, but not inWestern europe. I felt the Navara kinda reflects who I am. Male, daring to step out of the crowd, feeling free to go where I want to go. My wife and I were discussing the fact that it would probably be wiser to buy a small city car. But that just isn't who we are. We do not like the city anyway : too much people walking in a row looking at their smartphones. The is200 is to round, I stand away from the amarok with it's oil swallowing engine, and the 3,2 ranger was too un-eco. The last few remaining old hiluxes we seriously considered, but they were maybe a but too unrefind and farmerish :)
The last one we met was the nav,... And we felt it had to be the one.

Thats good to hear. Had the previous ranger to this 2016 facelift version and found that noisy with a harsh, juddery ride and pretty poor MPG. I wondered if the new current model might have improved things but obviously not. Glad I made the decision to get the NP300.

I just had a thought, people have been lamenting the loss of the exterior temperature sensor. Whilst looking at the Nissan connect system, there is a weather app on it that when connected to a phone will use data from there to show the full weather data including temperatures etc...

Should be no reason people can't use that surely?

I'd just add.. It's not keyless entry. It's keyless start/stop. The truck doesn't unlock when you approach it.

... At least mine doesn't anyway.
It should if you have the key on you and you press the button on the handle as you open the door. Should be no need to press the unlock button on the key fob as long as its an Acenta onwards, (visia doesnt get fancy key)

Overall I'm really happy with mine, it's comfortable and a very nice place to spend time. The sound system is impressive for standard, I had already planned to upgrade but not sure if I will now. Love the heated seats and also find them extremely comfortable.

I'm frustrated at not having the rear roller cover and have managed already to damage the paint on the top sides of the load compartment that wouldn't have happed if it was fitted.

I spent 7 hours towing my toy car at the end of last week and it was effortless:

Doh!

Ignore me folks, I'm an idiot.

Oh, and note to all, buy your truck from a dealer, not a broker, so they can show you how it works, and you don't look a pleb on t'internet forums.
