Hey Guys,

Just a couple of updates since last week to report.

Finally finished my "muscle truck" stripes. Let me tell you, it was no easy task doing the back end.

I modified the Nissan badge yet again, or more like de constructed it. The circle just wasn't fitting in over the stripes IMO, So I sliced off the top and bottom, filled and sanded it smooth ready for a strip of black vinyl on the top. The rectangular emblem works better now.

Door handle covers have been colour coded leaving the black handles underneath showing for that two tone effect.

Hope you guys like

Rear bumper, side step, roof bars, wheels, calipers and drums next

Apologies for the bad resolution pics, my phone fell down the loo :(

After this weeks baking sun, I had lots of issue with my vinyling on the back end. Some of the ends creased up with the heat and lack of correct adhesion to the panel. So I spent a good 4 hours re doing the whole tail again. Total pain but had to be done, new bits for the thread are a couple of pics of wing mirrors wrapped gloss black with red detail.

Finally pulled my finger out and made a bit more progres today... sun was out early doors so thought good time to do some spray work on the roof bars and I'd hoped to do side steps too but rusty seized up screws put a holy to that :eyeroll

Some pics of the days work

More hours needed to sort side steps out...

P.S really don't like truck with no roof bars or side step....yuck

I'm loving these little touches on your truck, it makes all the difference!
Is the spray and vinyl work part of your every day job?

These are some touches I would like to have a go at, but I've never sprayed anything in my life so I'm pretty sure I'd c0ck it up.
And obviously I know nothing about spraying up plastic parts, you got any tips or guides on this kind of work?

I was a spray painter a few years back but to be honest as long as you got half a brain and plenty of patience, get on to you tube and it's all there for you but I'm happy to help mate... PM me with any questions you got

Ok great stuff, thanks.
I love to have a crack at anything, but I also don't wanna mess up my pride and joy. :nailbiting

I'll start on something insignificant. :jokercol:

Thanks! :awesomework

I've watched a lot of Ammonyc videos in the past actually, right back when he seemed to just video himself cleaning cars.
Seems his YT channel took off too.

The polishing side of things I'm ok with, but spraying and vinyl installs are a different matter for me.
I'll be checking out some YT videos this week though, see what I can try out.

Looking good! Get a light smoked tint for lenses with HID's in. That combo goes great!

Sorry I am new to thread, I got over excited and commented before finishing reading it all ???. Nice work bud, making me drool!

I do like yours to be honest... but I feel that the wider one help maintain the angry stance ... can you still have your window down while it's raining with those????
Sorry for the late response. I can have my windows down about 2cm underneath the deflector without one drop of rain coming in the cab while driving. More than enough to launch the ashes from my sigaret out the window. It gives me a nice negative draft of air (air going from the cab to the outside of the truck) so I don't even have to stick my sigaret out of the window. I just have to be close enough to the window and give it a tab and the air circulation does the rest. Very handy for my use.

Update:

Rear bumper painted. After teetering on whether to go two tone and which bits to do white, I decided to paint it in full 2k gloss black. Pain in the butt getting it ready for final paint job.

Made a start on side step painting and added a cheeky little maxis decal on roof bars to tie it all in.
