Hi guys,
I was wondering if you could confirm or deny that the front window de mist button is a quick full power to screen button or does it depend on what tempreture ?
my reason for asking is that mine when pressed also requires me to turn up the temp to about 27 before it will engage at full power.
I also own a 2016 quasqai and that has the same button and always goes to full power when pressed no matter the temp setting.

If you have any insight into my problem please let me know as the dealer is due a visit next week.

best regards:smile2:

Mine goes to full power whatever the temp. However, if I've got it set to auto, then hit the windscreen button, it doesn't seem to work. If you then turn the climate control off altogether, then hit the windscreen button, it goes to full power at the previously set temp (whatever that may be).

For mine to run the fans at full power it needs to be on AUTO BEFORE pressing the front demist button.

If the fan speed had been manually adjusted (even on a previous drive) before pressing the front demist button the fans will continue at their manual speed even if the air flow has been directed towards the screen.

Thanks guys lol
So we can assume the button does what the hell it likes....
For a beautiful looking truck it often makes me sad...
When I first bought it the button took it to instant full power "not imagining it btw"
Also the air co worked soo well it was bloody cold at 20 degrees and now even though the dealer re filled my airco after only a year and a half it is no longer cold unless on minimum which is 16 and not too cold even then.

This option really does bug me badly.
Yes, hitting the button simply goes to full screen and full power - BUT it will not allow re-circulation, and it simply pulls in air from outside.
Fine - especially when it's -3 outside, you have mist on the inside of the screen and guess what- it freezes solid on the inside.
We all know how long it takes to warm up, so I have for ages now simply placed a 2kw fan heater in the car, sat on the arm rest, warming up the interior.
Get in, put it on re-circ and drive away.

If only some companies would allow us to think for ourselves instead of saying No - we know best..
