Folks

Hello, I'm just new to the forum and I'm looking for some advice.

I am trying to source a clockspring for my 2012 NAVARA TEKNA D/C DCI 188 Manual. Having provided my registration number, Nissan Parts told me the correct part number for my vehicle is 255675X00A (and also confirmed it's not B5567BH00A for my truck).

However, when my garage sourced and fitted an aftermarket alternative for that part number it did not engage with the drive for the steering angle sensor and so wasn't compatible. Of course, I'd rather use an aftermarket than an OEM part (ÂŁ25 v ÂŁ270) but will go there if I have to. As they don't have experience of replacing a Navara or even Nissan clockspring they are now backing off, as they can't ensure they'll buy the right part with confidence. Can't even seem to get proper part drawings to do an online comparison.

Has anyone else had problems with aftermarket versions of clocksprings not actually being compatible like this? Or can you suggest how I can be sure I buy the right part?

Any thoughts are welcome.

Thanks

Hi, I have changed mine in the past because the airbag light was coming on and it was because of the clockspring. I will have a look and see if i can find the link of the one I bought, it was a cheapy one, not original. I ended up buying two because the first one came and air bag light was staying on, and the second one came airbag light turns off but don't have a horn now..! Lol but I might just rewire a horn in somewhere else. Not a big issue..
