Hi, track just went into limp mode for no apparent reason. Checked fault code 1021. Could be something to do with turbo or actuator.

Sheepy,

From our "generic" online workshop database, the manufacturers fault code P1021 for the Navara (I seem to recall yours is a 2010 190 and you got it at about the same time as me), is :-Turbocharger (TC) boost pressure actuator - signal malfunction. with the possible causes being :-W iring, TC boost pressure actuator, turbocharger.

If you can reset the fault code and carry on driving, it may never come back or you may see it again tomorrow in which case we can investigate further.

Are you still under warranty?

Cheers

Dave.

Can anyone tell me how to reset the fault code? Do I do a full reset of the ECU?

2012 Nav Tekna 190.

Ok, went out and disconnected the battery for 30 secs. Reconnected and started the truck. EML went out as normal, took her for a spin and hey presto, all right. Checked the fault codes again when home and 1021 still in memory. Does this need to be cleared. Started again and light went out. Negative battery terminal was not very tight, would this have throw up a fault?

Garage only check code and couldn't do nothing. Car at Nissan Aberdeen now. Hopefully get it back mid next week. Managed to borrow tow car to transport caravan. I'll get Nissan to deliver to site.
