Anyone any ideas or guidance as to what this could be ?,......with ABS light on my brakes work just fine, however, when the light goes out and I apply the brakes my peddle pulsates and there is a noise similar to having worn brake pads !!!, the ABS light is now on most of the time, this began yesterday !!!

Cheers in advance !!

I don't know about your actual model, but on some vehicles the ABS light can double up as "Worn brakes" light as well.

Pads often have proximity sensors that warn when they are getting too close to the disks.

Either way, worth checking pad and disk thickness.

After that it may be ABS rotation sensor, but as Landmannnnn says, there should be an error code for that....

Your truck has wear tabs on the pads designed to squeal wen the pads are wearing. There is no electrical interface with them.

Abs sensors can fail as can the wheel bearings causing the ABS light. The front wheel bearings have a habit of failing and one of the indications it is happening is the ABS light coming on. Do you have a rumbling noise from the front bearings?

As Landmannnn points out it will be worth getting the system diagnosed to pinpoint the problem. You could always try this method which some say is inconclusive: http://www.nissan-navara.net/45-d40-technical-library/30528-diagnose-replace-abs-sensors.html
