hi....can anyone help me....I have had my crank reground and new shells supplied by my engine reconditioner....the big end shells have two different finishes ...four are dull both sides and four have a dull side and shiny back....I need to find out which ones go in the con rod and which ones go in the big end cap....unfortunately as it is Saturday afternoon I cant ask my su colinpplier so anyone able to help as I would like to get engine back in....thanks in anticipation

Do not rebuild your engine with a reground crank. It will not last long, apparently the hardening on the crankshaft as it comes from the factory is so thin it will not withstand any regrinding.

The best thing you can do now is to whip that crank out and bin it. Get a new one along with suitable shells and ARP conrod bolts and you'll have a bullet proof engine.
