Hi,

I recently purchased a 2018 plate Teckna, which I absolutely love, accept for the bluetooth bit.

The hands free seems a bit of a farce as you need to do nothing but use your hands to turn knobs, push buttons etc. Maps is already way out of date and new SD cards are stupidly expensive, but the worst part is I’ve just discovered Nissan have discontinued the apps for my model. Apparently they were so bad they’ve decided to scrap them, meaning I cannot connect anything through my phone to the system, with the exception of the crappy ‘hands free’ (that isn’t 😁).

Can anyone suggest a with around where I can use google maps via the car’s screen? The only way i can use it at the moment is on my phone using the phone speaker, which is not ideal. I must say for a late 18 plate the system is very outdated. I would appreciate any advice on workarounds, or if there’s a full system upgrade available.

You can connect a iphone i had mine connected to android head set through the mirror link or you can get a car play adapter

Map updates are free or were free, the new satnav in my 21 is even worse I use Waze..
My whole headunit crashed in the old one(2017 tekna) replaced under warranty..
