I've exactly the same tool, use it everyday, broke it twice though.
25 year warranty, if you ever break anything on yours, just send it to Whitby & co, kendall, they'll replace the whole leatherman, FOC.
Brilliant company.

If oil is been thrown from the belts you will find oil residue on the belts.
The oil is more likely coming from the flange on the egr, just undo the nuts again, clean off and apply some more sealant or better still a full gasket.
