Hi, I just want to warn you that you can very easily get locked out.
Last week I opened my drivers door, started the engine, got out my ice scraper, closed drivers door, cleared ice from screen, went to open door, all doors locked. Engine running, lights on, me stood outside.
I have had my 59reg back to Nissan today, they have checked it and say that, it is normal for a Navara. I will take this up with Nissan.
I have tried to recreate the fault by locking doors via the key fob, with the drivers door open, then turn on the ignition and start it up. As you turn the ignition the doors click as if they have unlocked. Close the drivers door & try to reopen, the doors are locked ( did this with the window down, so I could unlock and get back in).
This is a first for me in 24years of driving.
I do not think you should be able to lock your keys in your truck when you have started it with the doors open.
