Does anyone know how to check the automatic transmission fluid (ie where the dipstick is) as I cant find it but maybe im being a bit thick,

When your standing in front of the Nav it's behind the yellow engine one and down toward the bottom of the firewall under the fuel filter. It has a black top on it and a bolt on the side holding it in place which you'll have to undo to be able to pull it out then there's a tube running off the back into the trans.
Remember to check it with the engine warmed up and running.
If trans temp is between 30 to 50°C (86 to 122°F) then use the back side of the dip stick but if it's warmer than this (ie normal operating temp 65°C or 149°F) then use the front side which has Hot written on it.
