My insurers specify that the Cobra Trak Q system fitted to my Tekna/5th wheel setup is part of the T7C, of the policy, but Cobra say they cant/wont? transfer ownership but will transfer the equipment from one vehicle to another. The system has been powered down for about 7 months whilst waiting for my Nav, so I am sure I am going to get a unavoidable and right royal financial spanking from Cobra to get it up and running.Grrrrrrr :pukel:

Has anyone any experience on the Q tracker system and how it operates please?

Thanks

Uhh. Am I right in thinking the 'cobra trak Q' is a tracking device? I dont know what a "T7C" is (Sorry). Is it fitted to the vehicle or the 5th wheel trailer? If the trailer, then what does it it matter what is towing it (and why has it been powered down - as your trailer has still been at risk from theft). If the vehicle, then again why has it been powered down (as your vehicle is still at risk from theft). They say they are willing to transfer from one vehicle to another - so if the vehicle - where is the problem.

Sorry, I am having a difficulty understanding what the situation is.

It may be that the hardware remains the property of Cobra and when you 'buy' it you are entering into a licencing agreement and all you have to do is have it registered to the new owner of the vehicle/5th wheel van.

Or as you say have Cobra transfer it to your new truck.
