I was hoping the brains trust here could help.. my son recently bought a 2005 d22 zd30 (australian) single cab nissan navara for his first car.
FYI it has has an aftermarket intercooler fitted and the usual egr mods done.
The problem is: yesterday, the engine light came on and the shutdown butterfly is remaining closed when trying to start, resulting in it not starting - just engine turning over. If I disconnect the engine stop (butterfly) solenoid plug, the engine will start but won't get above 2000 rpm when driving.
Local mechanic put scan tool on and had fuel system & ignition fault when solenoid was unplugged, but only ingition fault when solenoid plugged back in.
I can't seem to find any information on this specific issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
