Evening guys,

I have a light bar mounted up on my roof rack and tested it today before running all the cables through and works all good. I'm struggling to choose the best way route the wires. Has anyone fitted one up top and can give some advice?

You'll find plenty of existing threads on the subject. If I remember correctly, @gfromleeds has recently been looking to mount a roof led bar or spots....

Sent from my mobile device. Please excuse brevity and mistakes.

I have indeed and after mulling it over ive decided against drilling and potentially weekening the cross bar
What i have decided to do which i think would look better anyway is get a lentgh of 25mm box tube and bolt it to the roofbar feet by useing the existing holes but with longer bolts
That way i could thread the wires inside the box tube to hide them
and also the lights would be closer to the roof line thus reducing wind noise and keep the roof bars functional
Ive not had time to do it yet but in my eyes the theory is good
Im then planing to bring the wire in by removing another bolt in the roofbar foot and thred the wire through the hole
Plenty of silicon should keep it water tight

Mounted a big led-bar on the roof of my navara couple of weeks ago. It was almost as wide as the roofrack. I just took the cable an glued it in the slot between the windscreen an the a-pillar and straight in to the enginecompartment. Easy and no drilling trough the roof...

Got any pics?

I did this but used some round tube and made some threaded ally spacers for extending the roofbar feet studs.

I dropped the cable between back of the cab and the rear load bed and then along the chassis into the engine bay as the relays were in there. Ive also used a weatherproof connector so the whole lot can be quicky removed if required.
