Where I'm coming from is remap does a lot more than a plug in box. I remapped my 535d and it did 170+ from the standard 155. My pickup run faster gear speeds than a standard truck or with a dte fitted. That the whole doing of the remap.
By the way they don't do knickers in my size, so there's no twisting going on there. Lol

so your telling me that a remap on a d22 will make it show 130 mph on the clock? a remap on a d40 wont even show over that !

Didn't say that , just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it's not true. To a end of this boring topic. It blow a fist size hole in the bottom end. Until then it was a on par/beater with a D40.
If you can't get that well the choice is yours. But you can't have had all the fast D22/D40's. But you can buy mine that way you may have had one then.

Not disputing anything here other than the d22 top speed. Ive had mine off the clock. Took a picture of it with my phone. When i find it ill try and get it up for all to see. This was before i had my sat nav so couldnt get true speed and was also before I knew about this site and the d22 engine problems ale:

You cant compare a modded motor against a standard one though,if you put them side by side in both forms then its a no brainer.
