If your vehicle has any signs of emission modifications it will now fail the mot..
Cat & dpf checks are part of the test. I think your mad if you go ahead with it, but hey ho.. That's just my opinion :blaghblah

The delete pipe isn't cheap and come MOT time your truck will fail as it will be obvious the emissions control systems have been tampered with. There are a few topics on here discussing this.

If you really must get rid of the DPF and cat(s), gut the ones fitted to the truck so that they at least look standard but the exhaust gasses can flow through without restriction.

Aha, Biggi beat me to it. :thumbright:

Depends how well you know the Mot'er really!

We all know you can get high performance cats, better flow through rate. Do you think this will force the same for dpf's as in performance high flow dpf's?

I've noticed on my V6 which has the DTE box on it that the engine seems to run hotter and that the DPF does more regen cycles, presumably due to the increased soot produced.

The tailpipe on the non DTE truck is clean inside where as the other is black.

With the DTE On I am amazed at the torque produced and the surge of power. From the national speed limit upwards it certainly flies for a big old lump. Shame they have restricted the top speed.

If you have a young V6 and don't have to worry about MOTs for a few years it would be interesting to see the results of DPF removal and EGR etc

I haven't modified mine any further than the DTE. I lease it so i try and do as little as possible.

I haven't heard of anyone doing this on a V6.

Im sure the guys over in Asia have done though.
