Hi all,
Finally got round to doing the EGR valve yesterday. Although am ashamed to say I will probably have to do it again shortly because all i could find to make a gasket out of was an old paint tin lid. Maybe it will do but I would guess at it being too thin to cope with any long term heat. I just did it really to see if it made a difference. I would say there is definately an improvement at the bottom of the rev range, dosent seem as laggy when you set off. Couldnt really say about fuel consumption and there dosent seem to be any more or less smoke out the back when you boot it :salute:

Hi mate,
No I never, just did the one side as shown in picture. Have driven it more today. It definately picks up better than before I blocked it off, pulls well in any gear now. Gonna change the neutral switch on side of gearbox next because I noticed today if I hold the gearstick hard into third and fourth as in put it in 3rd and push forward quite hard and hard back in 4th it picks up from a "flat spot". Anyone got any picks of where it is located on the gearbox please :cheers2:

yeah but we have to have low emissions because us and us alone are causing global warming, poor childrens health and millions of creatures to become extinct     Bloody Brussels.

Sprouts

LOL the way i see it the climate change harp players can winge all they want but unless they get the "3rd" world to jump on to these new regs then its all moot.

My truck came with no egr and no cat because it's for the South American market, though i suppose they have better things to worry about than a little puff of smoke from an exhaust lol

For the D40 guys im almost certain if you get some Tial 35/38mm wastegate block off plates they will do the trick with minor bolt hole elongation.
