Hi guys, I had a look around and couldn't really find an answer to my specific issue. I've got a manual single turbo 2015 NP300 that's throwing up a yellow engine light for two EGR error codes.
P24A8 - EGR Cooler Coolant Pump Performance/Stuck Off
P24AC - EGR Cooler Coolant pump Feedback Circuit Low.
My mechanic took the full cooler/radiator system off and flushed it. They did a full system wide pressure test (in case it was a dreaded head gasket issue) and it passed with flying colours. And they are somewhat stumped and trying to figure out what is wrong with it before they send me broke.
The codes will almost always re appear if I clear them when I drive during the day. Sometimes they won't reappear until the car has been turned off and driven around. But the error rarely comes up while I'm driving.
But if I clear them when I go to night shift and work for 8 hours at night before driving an hour home they have not once reappeared during this time (It is winter here).
So I am wondering if could be a wiring issue, an ambient air temp issue, if the cooling pumps are taking a while to turn on and throwing up the error. Both myself and my mechanic are stumped. There doesn't appear to be any issues with driving it right now and I'm wondering if anyone has had these issues. Should I replace the cooler coolant pumps? Should I just put a blank in and see if that does anything? should I try a delete cable? Any information or insight would be appreciated before I go back and spend a few thousand more at the mechanics to try and sort the issue out.
