Does the d22 non aircon heater controls have backlighting? mine doesn't was wondering if bulbs are blown or maybe doesn't have backlighting at all?

Yeah! There's 2 for the illumination of the screen and 4 more for the switches. They are all single LED's and can be purchased from Maplins in different colours. They are orig white LED with a blue "rubber johnny" over the top of them  This comes off and can be put over the top of the replacements if you can only get the clear white LED's. I would go for 2 red for the illumination bulbs and 4 yellow for the switches like mine :thumbright: There is a thread on here where I tackled mine and done a "how to" under Climate Control Panel. This would give you the part no.s required from Maplins too! :thumbright: Hope this helps?

Just looked at your how to section, but unfortunately that is for the digital heater control, i have the non a/c manual slide type controls. will have to take it appart and get a better look at it, looks like a pain to unhook the cables

An alternative for the Maplin bulbs are Heater Wedge Bulbs from Ultimate Mods.Get the T4 size, remove from the holders they come with and fit into the original nissan holders. These are LED bulbs so throw out plenty of light without getting hot like the Maplin bulbs Had a big problem with Maplins bulbs overheating in the display.

Doctorchopper i have the same problem and asked here before...
I think the UK models only came with the Digital A/C set up.. Us Irish did not get the Option :-(

The Irish only got the slider manual non-A/C heater like yourself..
Maybe your on our side of the water..
Anyway i believe they are not illuminated as i know 3 Nav owners who all say they are not illuminated

There were some UK Models that came with Manual A/C. Seems daft they aren't lit up!

My T4 Heater Switches used to light up after i jiggled the direction switch.

Have it out and take a look, you'll soon answer the question as to whether they are lit or not.

I suffered in the recent cold spell with loads of my lights in the dash packing up, bought some new LED's off the old fleabay and bobs your uncle, bright as anything now!

These are the ones i bought for my AC Screen and Button lights, bear in mind i have the full digital system. I also ended up taking the LED's out and fitting them in the original holder, which is a right faff, but worth it as they fit spot on.

These were the ones i bought for the dash, however they are really blue, now i think that is a problem with a filter in the dash binnacle so i've gotta have it apart and check it out.

If they don't work when you first put them in, rotate the fitting as they are polarity specific.
