HI

Recently bought a 2003 d22, however it takes ages to start in a morning and even when its been run the re start takes 10 seconds, pretty certain its not the heater plugs. It looks like someone has been here before, as an in line non return valve has been fitted? it does feel like your trying to start a car that has run out of fuel.
Dont get me wrong, once its started it drives great, its just getting it to start thats the problem???
Please help before i introduce it to a lump hammer!!

Many thanks

Re: HELP...BEFORE I SMASH MY NAVARA TO BITS! Starting proble

have you tried manually pumping the fuel up before turning it over

have you metered the plugs to make sure the relay is activating them?
Just because they are new doesnt mean they are working

When manually priming, does the button eventually go hard?
If not the primer has failed and is letting air into the system, quite a common fault.
Hence the non-return valve.
