Im thinking of buying a D22 Navara but am very concerned about the ''engine issue'', I've been having a good read up on the net and from what I can gather its 2002-2006 ones that are effected, is this correct ? are the preface-lift D22's safe from this problem and are they genreally considered a safer buy ?

I do prefer the facelift and if i was to go for one can anyone recomend someone in the south who could do a prevention rebuild for me and how much i should expect to pay for this ?

As Paul says 'yes' the pre face lift 'W' reg is a good un. Anything upto 2001 is ok.
I drive a 2000 X reg, its solid, strong & you can rely on it more than your grandmother :mrgreen:
