Just had a call from my dealer about my new V6 Outlaw. The anticipated delivery month is November (dealer did say it was November this year, nice of him).
That will be a total of 7.5 months from start to finish (if they deliver it in November).

Are Nissan hand carving these pick ups from a rare block of Tibetan steel, using a nail file :?
I've ordered equipment costing 5 times this, thats made to order only and had delivery sooner.

So much for having a new truck in time for the shooting season. On the up side it should be here in time to be used as a pram :clappy:

Rant over (for now)

I thought they where back on track, and back to the 3 ish months delivery time as was before the recall malarky - that's a bit of a bugger.

No help at all, but we've been thinking about trading in our JCB loadall, 7 months delivery  , so it's not just Nissan.

Jcb quoted a delivery of 3-4 months on a TM 310. I know loadalls are more popular but thats excessive.

I"ll try and find out more from dealer tomorrow. Maybe the nail file is blunt  I know they were hit with the earthquake/tsunami which impacted parts but they make these things in Portugal (i think).

Only 171 days (give or take a month or two) to go.

At the end of the day its the same vehicle with a different engine and gearbox, cant see why it would take any longer to make.

Just found it.

The higher price perhaps explains why Nissan is only looking to sell 250 V6 pickups annually, but their owners are likely to have good time, and anyone going for the four-cylinder 2.5 litre Navara is unlikely to be disappointed either.

Maybe we should ask Nissan U.K. why such long waiting times, cause i can't think of any sensible reason, unless they've cut Spanish production to the bone, and are building to order for Europe? but even so, they don't take that long to build? :?
