Thanx Neil

All I can say is.... My truck has one goal left. To get me from here to South Africa next year and make all the Landy's look like $h*t.
After that she has done me proud...

As for what to replace her with... Hmmm that is up for debate.

not all D22s are weak I think its just luck of the draw. mine is a 2002, one of the first off the boat and apparently doesnt have the same bottom end probs as those imported a couple of months later. 93000 miles and still pulling like a train, with a lot of off road miles beating all the green oval gang (well nearly all)

You should never tempt fate ! don't you kid yourself....i have known d22s go bang that have been well looked after and was showing absolute no sign of going bang ! but they have !
IMO I don't think any d22 is excluded as in the trade i have seen d22s of all ages and mileages ...in auctions with their engines thrown in the back !
If i ever got one in as a PX....we would never sell one to Joe public as there just to unreliable !
Sorry d22 lads but :( ...............The only one that was ever any good was the imported 3.0 td 16v ...like what dave has got ! 8)

I think its a fallacy to think that it affects only one criteria ....when it affects all d22s with any mileages and any condition !
For god sake these things was going pop when they were brand new.....so if you got one thats done 100k and is still going then your darn lucky !
