Hi guys,

I've recently bought an 09 reg D40. I have noticed a knocking/clunk sound when setting off. It's seems to be worse when on an incline (maybe just coincidence). It's doesn't sound like it's the engine area, more towards the rear.
Any ideas folks?

Check the universal joints on all the drive shafts.

I had exactly the same - went through all of the propshaft UJs, rear brakes and differential checks with no result. Turned out it was the rear springs as it disappeared when I changed them, although it was still there when I took for a tentative run before fully torquing them up.
So perhaps try checking and retorquing the rear spring to axle nuts?
