Hi guys I'm now 3 weeks and 2,000 miles into ownership of my '07 Nav. I wasn't concerned about MPG when buying the Nav as I knew it would be good having had a few terrible MPG cars in the past I'm well acquainted with the petrol station!

First 1000 I was averaging 25-27 MPG.

For the second I cleaned the MAF re-set the ECU and have used only premium diesel. I'm now seeing 30-32 MPG over the last 1000 miles (this includes a few hundred miles of towing).

Is this increase normal? Could it be the premium derv that is helping?

That'a a pretty impressive improvement.

My guess is it is probably cleaning the MAF that has done it for you, if it was dirty it would be sending false signals to the ECU.

It was one of the direst I've seen, also I have had another limp mode since cleaning.
