Hey people wondered if someone could help with a few issues i have before i commit to buying. Im going for an early D40 05-55 plate it will defo be an Aventura. The truck that i really like has very low mileage but its an automatic. Ive taken it for a test drive and really liked it apart from my left hand not knowing what to do :). My question is whats an automatic like for off-roading and pulling car transporters? I wouldn't be taking it through muddy pits and up mountains. More like muddy farm lanes and mucky building sites. Any info would be appreciated

Great site by the way

Cheers Ben

Having had a 2007 D40 auto from new and used it both on and off road its just perfect, I use manuals at work along with teaching basic off roading, the auto matches the manaul all except for stall starts on hills, but hey a auto shouldnt be able to stall on a hill so thats not going to be an issue.

buy it and enjoy the lazy relaxed drive...

Cheers for the replies guys i think im gonna go for the auto. One final question regarding the roof bars, what sort of weight can they handle? Ive asked my local dealer but he wasnt sure exactley what it could take. All i want to fit on there is a strobe beacons and maybe some work lights.

Cheers

The maximum load (evenly distributed) is 56kg (125 lb) mate, not much really, but more than adequate for your beacons and work lights
